1972 Wassel 125 Trials

This bike, less the engine, was purchased new in the crate from a Colorado collector who had purchased the last 10 from the original distributor. The engine was built using NOS parts obtained from a Sachs inventory purchase. The bike has the original Dunlops tires which are very difficult to locate.

This Wassell is recognized as a very fine original example. One interesting fact is that not many of the bikes were sent to the USA as Wassells; Penton imported an identical bike with a high front fender and called it a “Mudlark”. Wassells are light, agile and have striking lines, but you have to love polishing aluminum if you decide to own one.
