1971 Harley Davidson “Baja 100”

For just three years Harley Davidson produced this small bore racer and had excellent success in the local desert scene. Larry Rosseler rode one to victory in his class in the Baja 1000 in Mexico.

Harley offered several big bore options including a 150 cc kit which was readily available to the public. In fact, about half of the Harleys entered in local races as 100’s were actually 150 cc bikes entered illegally.

The Bajas were neat little bikes, but short lived as Harley’s financial problems in the early 70’s brought production on these bikes to an end.
