1965 Triumph TT Special

One of the 141 manufactured. In 1965, Dave Palmer won the Castle Rock TT, Sid Payne won the Ascott TT and Eddie Mulder won the Peoria TT on a bike just like this.

Conceived by Johnson Motors in Pasadena, the Triumph TT was a purpose built, West Coast design, built by the factory.

The TT was a hot rod, nothing but the essentials with engine modifications that included higher compression ratios over the Bonneville street version and performance camshaft grinds assured adequate power to compete with BSA and Harley. This TT came from the Sullivan Museum in Massachusetts and is exactly as it left the factory.
