1972 Husqvarna CR

After years of requests from many accomplished riders, Husqvarna finally built a 125 MX bike in 1972. Following the tradition of previous Husky’s, it shared all of the best components, excellent power and smooth shifting. It was the only serious competitor for the Penton 125 and I can tell from personal experience, Bob Haag flew on his. Truly a fantastic bike and sold very well.

One thing I will point out is the rear 350 x 18 Trelleborg tire; it is the rarest of all vintage tires. This is the only NOS example I have ever seen and I found it in Holland. It is always the last place you look. Lee Fabry did the initial restoration but after many years of sitting and not being cared for by the previous owner, I bought it and I opted to replate or replace most of the hardware. I replaced the tires, one of the cables and repainted the pipe and engine. It is a fine example of the first year 125 Husky.
