1971 DKW 125 MOTOCROSS

This bike is probably the most correct DKW of this year in the United States. I purchased the South Eastern USA Sachs/DKW inventory in 1998, specifically to acquire all of the difficult to find parts needed to build this bike. The basic core of the bike was given to me by one of my friends that I used to race against with my Penton, Mike Skelton. The bike has the Metzeler tires that it came with in 1971. All the parts on this bike are either NOS or rebuilt with NOS parts. This bike is a multiple award winner and was featured in VMX Magazine. This is truly a special bike and very awkward to ride. The front end comes up when applying the front brakes in a turn. You have to have wrists of steel.
