1972 Suzuki TM-250J Champion

The 250 J was nicknamed “Champion” after the success of the RH71 works 250 ridden by World Champion, Joel Robert. This was the first year of the 250 CC version following the 1971 release of the notorious 400R Cyclone.

The 71 Cyclone was deemed by many as the worst handling motorcycle ever produced by any factory. The 250 J is much more rideable because of a more conservative power band which was manageable. The 250 J was described by the factory as a copy of Joel Roberts’ winning 250. In reality it, like the 400 R, had very little in common with the works bike yet it sold well.

This bike is fully restored with all of the correct components including a NOS pipe, seat, cables, and the correct “tractor grip” tires.
