1970 AJS 250 Y-40 Stormer

This bike is truly new and has never seen gas in the tank. In 1992, the owner of Flint Indian Sales, in Michigan, died and his shop contents were liquidated at auction. During the inventory of the store prior to the sale, his widow escorted the appraisers to a warehouse next to the dealership. In that warehouse was all of the inventory that the owner and his predecessors had not sold in their years of business, dating back to 1914. There were new 1948 Indians, 3 Norton 750 Commandos, 1 DKW and 5 AJS Stormers. They also found shelves of NOS Matchless, BSA and Triumph parts and over 2000 brand new off road tires from various years. The owner had not returned the products he had not sold at the dealership. The total inventory sold in lots for a total of over $1,000,000.00, including this AJS 250 Stormer.
